Afternoon people!
About ten months ago, i was thinking to myself ‘How can i get a bit of extra money?’ but lets be honest, who hasn’t thought that! I had just started a new job at the time for a web design company so i was starting to use Adobe Photoshop CS2 a bit more. I already kinda knew my way around the software from my college days, but in general, i was a n00b.
I started doing tutorials, from blog sites such as this, www.pixel2life.com (<—AWESOME—>) and other sites. I also found out about ’stock photography’. For those who are unaware, stock photography sites sell stock images uploaded by photographers, designers, animators etc.
Can you see where this is going? Oh yes, the creation of images for stock photography sites. I created graphics for websites such as buttons & menus and uploaded some photographs also. I now have almost 400 images on fotolia and although its not much, i get about an £50($100) per month from it. Not bad considering i now have to do nothing. Of course you can choose to do more images, therefore increasing your profits! Sign up to other stock sites too, and get even more!
So what i propose to you is this: As you learn photoshop, why not make a bit of cash on the side? Go to www.fotolia.com and www.dreamstime.com sign up for an account, upload some images and hell, you may make a bit of extra cash! Nothing bad about that. But why stop there? There are loads of great stock photograpghy sites out there.
Go, enjoy, make money, learn photoshop. Everybody wins.

This is a brilliant way to make some extra cash from just a few mins work, I signed up to fotolia a month ago and have already made some extra moneys from it ^^
I’m a photoshop artist and tutorial writer, and I use fotolia myself. In my case instead of the collecting the money I earn on fotolia I usually use the credits to purchase other stock photos to use for my tutorials.
